Nano Banana Pro is the higher tier of Google's Nano Banana image family on Veida AI. Write a prompt, pick 1K, 2K or 4K, and see the credits before you spend them. In our own six-run test it returned every image in 43 to 53 seconds.
Six runs, ten seconds of spread. Timings from our own test, not a spec sheet.
Draft cheap at 1K, finish at 4K. You choose the resolution per generation.
The cost for your resolution appears before you press generate.
Generated with Nano Banana Pro on this site on 2026-08-04, unretouched. Both were chosen for the same reason: this model's distinguishing strength is type. Asking most image models for a headline returns letter-shaped decoration; these came back spelled correctly, kerned, and sitting where the layout wanted them.

Nano Banana Pro is the upper tier of Google's Nano Banana image models, available on Veida AI as a text-to-image generator. You describe the image you want, choose an output resolution, and Pro renders it. It sits alongside Nano Banana 2 on the same generator, so you can switch between them without changing anything else in your workflow.

Every number on this page comes from generations we ran ourselves on 22 July 2026 through the same pipeline the site uses. Timings include queue time, so treat them as end-to-end waiting, not raw model speed.
Text to image. Describe the subject, lighting, framing and style, and Pro renders it from scratch.
Three output sizes. 1K for drafts and iteration, 2K for most finished work, 4K when the image needs to hold up large.
Predictable turnaround. Across six runs in our test the slowest result arrived ten seconds after the fastest.
Pro is not automatically the right answer. It earns its place in specific situations, and we would rather tell you which ones.
If you are generating in a batch or making someone wait on the result, a narrow timing range matters more than a fast best case.
In our poster test Pro stayed with the requested elements instead of introducing extra scenery. Useful when the prompt is already art direction — and when that poster needs a paragraph of copy on it too, [Qwen Image 3](/image/qwen-image-3) takes over.
For wide exploration the cheaper 1K tier of Nano Banana 2 covers more ground per credit. Pro suits the image you intend to keep.
What you get on this generator, and what we have not yet verified.
Text-to-image generation from a single prompt, with no reference photo required.
1K, 2K and 4K are selectable per generation, and the credit cost updates with your choice.
Pro appears in the model picker next to Nano Banana 2 and Lite, so switching does not mean relearning the tool.
We have only verified text-to-image on Pro. For editing an existing photo, use Nano Banana 2, which supports image-to-image on Veida AI today.
Resolution options, credit cost and the timings we measured. Anything we did not test is marked as such.
Four steps from prompt to saved image.

Open the image generator and choose Nano Banana Pro in the model picker.

Name the lighting, framing and style as well as the subject. In our tests the prompts that specified light direction produced the most predictable results.

Draft at 1K while you iterate on wording, then re-run the winning prompt at 2K or 4K. The credit cost shown updates as you switch.

Results land in your history, so you can compare wordings side by side before deciding which to keep.
Jobs that match what we saw it do in testing.

Layouts where a headline has to render correctly inside the artwork rather than being added afterwards.

Studio-style images where surface, reflection and lighting direction carry the result.

Styled portraits where you want natural skin texture kept rather than smoothed away.

When you have explored cheaply and now need the one image that gets published.
Every model on this page draws from the same balance, and the credit cost appears before you press generate. Failed jobs are never charged.

Model credit guide
You're only charged for successful generations. The exact estimate in the generator varies by model, length, resolution, audio, and number of images.
| Type | Model | Credit cost |
|---|---|---|
| GPT Image 2 | Text to image and description-based edits. 1K ≈ 20 credits, 2K ≈ 90, 4K ≈ 160. | |
| Nano Banana 2 | Generate or edit from up to 14 reference photos. Same 20 / 40 / 80 ladder by resolution. | |
| Nano Banana 2 Lite | The free tier's editor. Lightest cost per edit on the site. | |
| Seedream 5 Lite | Fast drafts. Priced at the 1K tier for iteration passes. | |
| Qwen Image 3 | Legible text and page layout rather than photoreal. Priced by resolution. |
Answers based on our own testing and on what Veida AI actually offers.
Not in a single direction. At matched 2K resolution the two finished within roughly the same time in our tests, and each followed the brief more closely on a different prompt. Pro was the steadier of the two on turnaround; Nano Banana 2 costs fewer credits at 1K, which makes it better for exploring. We wrote up the full side-by-side, including where our results contradict each other.
30 credits per image at 1K and 2K, and 50 credits at 4K. The cost for your selected resolution is shown in the generator before you generate.
1024 x 1024. This matters when comparing models: in our tests Nano Banana 2 defaulted to 2048 x 2048 on the same prompts, so an unconfigured comparison is not comparing equal work.
In six runs on 22 July 2026 it returned in 43 to 53 seconds, measured end to end including queue time. That is our own measurement on our pipeline, not a published benchmark, and your result will vary with load.
Not on Veida AI today. We have only verified text-to-image for Pro, so we do not offer it for editing. Use Nano Banana 2 if you want to work from a photo you already have.
Generating spends credits from your Veida AI account, so you will need to be signed in for the credits to be tracked.
They chase different failures. Banana Pro holds texture and lighting through edits — product shots and portraits keep their look. Seedream 5.0 Pro pushes stylised range further. If the subject must stay recognisable, Banana Pro; if the style is the subject, Seedream.
Write a prompt, pick your resolution, and see the credit cost before you spend anything.
