What is Nano Banana Pro?
Nano Banana Pro is a mid tier of Google's Nano Banana image models — above the original Nano Banana, below Nano Banana 2 — available on Veida AI as a text-to-image generator. You describe the image you want, choose an output resolution, and Pro renders it. It sits alongside Nano Banana 2 on the same generator, so you can switch between them without changing anything else in your workflow.

Nano Banana 2 is the stronger model in the line and the cheaper one, at 50 credits against 70, so reach for Pro when its look is the one you want, not as a step up.

Answers based on our own testing and on what Veida AI actually offers.
Nano Banana 2 is the stronger of the two overall. At matched 2K resolution the pair finished within roughly the same time in our tests, and each followed the brief more closely on a different prompt — Pro was the steadier on turnaround. Banana 2 is 50 credits and Pro is 70, each flat at every resolution, so pick Pro for its look, not for a quality step. We wrote up the full side-by-side, including where our results contradict each other.
70 credits per image, and the resolution you pick does not change it. The cost is shown in the generator before you generate.
Yes — on Pro and Max, Nano Banana Pro is unlimited: no credit cost per image, at any resolution, and no cap on how many you make. Each plan has a daily full-speed allowance; past it, runs keep going and wait longer in the queue.
1024 x 1024. This matters when comparing models: in our tests Nano Banana 2 defaulted to 2048 x 2048 on the same prompts, so an unconfigured comparison is not comparing equal work.
In six runs on 22 July 2026 it returned in 43 to 53 seconds, measured end to end including queue time. That is our own measurement on our pipeline, not a published benchmark, and your result will vary with load.
Not on Veida AI today. We have only verified text-to-image for Pro, so we do not offer it for editing. Use Nano Banana 2 if you want to work from a photo you already have.

They chase different failures. Banana Pro holds texture and lighting in what it renders — product shots and portraits keep their look. Seedream 5.0 Pro pushes stylised range further. If the subject must stay recognisable, Banana Pro; if the style is the subject, Seedream.
